StarFleet Ken'l is located in Las Vegas, NV. It is run by Su-z Sites. Yes, that really is her last name. She wasn't born with it but decided to keep it in order to match her son's last name.
And she is a Trekkie. Her CB handle when she was on the road as a truck driver was StarFleet (taken from the nickname B'Elanna called Harry Kim on Voyager early in the series). All of her zip disks and hard drive partitions are Star Trek characters from all four of the Star Trek series. Roddenberry is the name of her startup drive. So it was only natural that she would choose a Star Trek theme for her kennel when it came time to come up with a name.
